Drake Cottage is very child friendly; we know what it’s like to travel with babies and very young children so we have worked to make it just a little bit easier.  Lucy, our wonderful housekeeper, has five children herself and grandmother to two , so has pretty much seen it all over the years. 

On request we can provide a travel cot, high chair and stair gate. We do not provide cot linens as our experience has found that babies prefer a bit of familiarity and bringing your own linens helps. Worried about overnight accidents ; we can pop on waterproof mattress covers so that you don’t have to worry about that. We also provide unbreakable dishes and plates plus a wipe clean PVC tablecloth for your use so you can actually relax while your little ones enjoy their food. We also provide socket covers to help make it safer for your little ones; however we do not provide cupboard locks so you will have to supervise that aspect of your stay yourself.
Our courtyard garden though small is perfect for little ones to play and on a warm day you will be able to leave the kitchen door open and the gate to the street bolted and still be able to see them from the kitchen window while you prepare dinner.  

Drake Cottage is decorated with a variety of duck ornaments which little ones love to spot in the different rooms and we also provide a small library of duck themed picture books and stories; please be sure to leave them behind for our next small visitors.
